Section 5, A World-Class Wave Kite

Approved by outstanding surfer Willow, who has tested it in the challenging barrels of Indonesia’s reef breaks, and proven by newly crowned World Champion Gabriel Benetton, CORE is excited to introduce its new world-class wave kite.

The new Section 5 has received significant upgrades for an even smoother drift. With a new, intelligent volume distribution, it provides enhanced stability in the wingtips and delivers faster turning and flying performance overall.

The material blend of ExoTex 2 Dacron and CoreTex 2 fabric is the secret behind the ultra-direct, fast steering needed for aggressive turns and cutbacks — defining features of the Section's surf-ready, dynamic, and responsive flight. This wave kite stands out for its unmatched control, offering breathtaking, adrenaline-pumping down-the-line rides with consistent control, even when depowered.

Perfectly matched to all four Core surfboards, the Section 5 excels in every surf style, from small waves to big overhead breaks, and even strapless freestyle. Its versatile qualities also make the Section 5 an excellent choice for foiling.
