Quality of second-hand equipment

This ensures you can safely hit the water. Good to know: a second-hand kite can often last for many more years. You can definitely find a great deal. We aim to provide honest advice, so we will never send a beginner out on the water with a pro kite.
The points we check for kites:
- Fabric quality
- Stitching
- Tears or pinholes
- We check bladders for holes
- One pump hoses are also checked for leaks
- Pigtails, bridles, and any pulleys
The points we check for boards:
- Damage
- Threading of the inserts
- Overall condition
The points we check for bars:
- The functioning of the safety system
- The swivel, if present
- The depower system
- The quality of the lines
- We always check line lengths! (Many people don’t know this, but it has a significant impact on the handling)
